“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” James 1:27 (NLT)
MISSION
Our mission is to express the love of Jesus Christ to the underserved and those in our society that are often forgotten and over looked. We strive to answer to call of God to look after the poor, the broken hearted, orphans, widows in their distress, the abused, abandoned, and those who have lost all hope. We are committed to setting at liberty those who have become captive to drugs, alcohol, abuse, poverty sickness and disease and many other forms of bondage. We endeavor to meet not only the physical needs but the spiritual needs of the underserved, thus equipping and empowering them to become productive members of society. We are ambassadors of Christ reminding them that God has not forgotten them and that he has a plan for their lives.
In the parable of “The Final Judgment” Matthew 25:31-46 Jesus considered our ministering to those in need as a personal gesture to him. “When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me.” It has always been the will of God that his people who are called by his name were to look after the poor and downtrodden in society. Under the leadership of Pastor Kevin Brown the Kingdom Vision Christian Center Community Service department is mandated to do just that.
